Saw it at Midnight

Well, it didn't start until 12:45 am, really. I wasn't in bed until after 4am this morning, & have been up since 7am with Roman, but it was totally worth it!!

6 Month Stats & Show Low

He's on the same growth curve that he's been on since he was born, but here are his numbers from today's appointment:

Height: 28 1/4 in- 95% (He's tall- we knew that)

Head:45cm- 75% (His skull is trying to catch up with his longer bones)
Weight: 17.9 lbs- 50% (He's a little on the lean side for his height, but still normal for his age- Funny, the kid eats like it's going out of style!)
The shots made him feel crummy, as anticipated, but the good thing about that is all he wants to do is cuddle- that's how we spent most of our afternoon :)

We went up to Show Low this past weekend for a wedding. It was SO nice to get out of the heat!! I can't even remember the last time we were home... Here are some pictures:

Justin & Corrine Weeks. Justin & Anthon work together & sometimes I feel like they are connected at the hip! We have been hanging out with them a lot over the past year or so... LOVE them- such a fun/cute couple!!

6 Months

HALF A YEAR?!?!? It's so cliche to say "I can't believe how fast he's growing!" or "Where has the time gone?" but that's exactly how I feel! Roman's such a fun little guy- He's so smiley all the time & is having fun with some new things, LIKE:

Last but not least, getting his 1st tooth!
We love having Roman in our family!! He's so sweet & I love how he interacts with us- He's TOTALLY a Daddy's boy. His face LIGHTS up whenever Anthon comes in the room! I get a little butt hurt sometimes, but most of the time I'm ok with it- I think Anthon's pretty awesome myself :) (& I know Roman loves me, too). I wish I could keep him my baby forever, but I'm having fun watching him grow at the same time! His Dr. appointment is next Monday, so I'll post how he measures up then.

Celebrating Our Independence...

Our 4th was really relaxed, but a lot of fun! I think we were the only ones who stayed in town (which stinks, but what are you gonna do??). We spent the morning watching the 1st half to Lonesome Dove (LOVE that movie) & then we headed to the mall to do a little shopping & use someone elses AC :).

After the mall we went swimming for a while- We LOVE it!! & Roman's turning into quite the little fish :)

We topped the night off by going to the firework's show at Mesquite High School. The show was kinds lame, but oh well- at least it didn't scare Roman. I hope everyone enjoyed Independence Day, & were reminded of how LUCKY we are to live in this country!!
