I had another ultra sound yesterday to check the baby's size & yep, he's still in the 97% for growth. They said he weighs 7 lbs. 15oz- That's right, only 1 oz shy of 8lbs @37 weeks ("Normal" sized babies are in the 6lb. range @ 37 weeks)! They also said my amniotic fluid was low (still in the normal range, but at the low end) so I'm going in for another ultrasound on the 23rd to check the fluid levels.
I went this morning to review the ultrasound results with my Dr. & talk about the possibility of an induction, but she got called in for surgery so I didn't even get to see her! Instead I saw one of the mid-wives; she just cultured me for strep B (fun, fun), told me I was dilated to 2 cm. (Woo-Hoo) , and said I should come back next week to talk to my Dr. about the induction. BUT when I went to schedule my appointment they told me the Dr. was on vacation all next week- ERR!! I guess I'm just going to have to be patient... it's NOT that I'm all gung-hoe for being induced or eager to get him out right now, but this is my 1st time going through this & I'd just like a little insight as to what the game plan is going to be! I kinda like having a plan & KNOWING what the plan entails!
In other exciting news, I've gained 5 more pounds between my last two visits (for a total weight gain of 21 lbs) ... I'm feeling it (& seeing it), let me tell you!! Oh well, the end will come soon enough!!

You look great! He'll be here before you know it!
You can never have a game plan when it comes to having a baby, it one of those things that drives everyone crazy! You look great! Hope everything continues to go well. Kindy had her baby a few days early becuase of her amniotic fluid being low.
you look so cute pregnant. He is almost here!!! I bet you are so excited...
Love your pregnant belly! I'll be so jealous if you have your baby first! I'm due first, but I'm measuring pretty small so the doc won't induce me until my due date. We'll see what kind of begging I can manage at my appointment tomorrow. Good luck everything!
Wow, just a little longer. I'm going to make a prediction, I bet you'll have him on December 28th! I'm probably totally wrong!
Holy cow, he's going to be huge! I doubt they will let him get too big because it's your first baby and the first is hard even with a smaller baby. Can't wait until he's here. It's still so weird to me that you're pregnant, but I'm sure you felt the same way when I was pregant?!
You are a cute pregnant woman, all belly. Try to not worry too much about getting induced, unless you are late of course, but just let the little guy come when he is ready. You could ask the nurse to scrap your membranes. My nurse did that for me and Sydney came 10 hours later.
Woo hoo!! You're dilated!! I'd be doing jumping jacks (I mean if I weren't pregnant). The time may come when you least expect it... Looks to me like things are working out the way they should naturally... Blessed patience :) jk
Patience is a virtue...right? I know it''s hard waiting but he'll come when he's ready! Just relax and expect him late and then if he comes early you can celebrate. Oh by the way the Haiti girls are coming home for Christmas. They got their Visa's and can be picked up Monday. Yeah!!! (3 yrs....that took patience)
In the "olden" days we never knew when the baby was coming until he or she came. I was always late. Anthon and Sherry were both a week late and born on the same day.
Congrats for the soon to be baby! That's very exciting. YOu guys will be awesome parents. Good luck with it all. Merry Christmas.
I love the prego belly!
