Ward Halloween Party

We had a good time at our ward party last night! Here's what we looked like:
Roman was asleep while I got him ready & wasn't quite sure what to think once he woke up- He did leave his accessories on all night, which was a pleasant surprise!

One thing's for sure, he didn't like his daddy's makeup! He got used to it though :)

Successful Sale!!

Our craft sale today was a great success!! We raised a total of $239.62- A BIG thank you to all of you who helped, donated, showed up, and just supported us in this effort!! I couldn't have done it without you & I really appreciate your selflessness!

Since I've been going to thrift stores so much to find frames & what not for my crafts, I've been able to find some KILLER deals on some pretty cool stuff. Thought I'd share with you some of my favorites (& Roman's):

Calling all Crafts...

We're putting on a fund raiser for The Walk to Cure Diabetes!! We'll be selling all kinds of crafts & some baked goods :). I'm going to be making all the crafts this week (magnet boards, mirrors, picture frames, holiday decor, etc.). Once I'm finished I'll post pictures of some of the things I've made.Here's the 411:
When: Sat. Oct 24th. 10:30am til whenever we run out of stuff to sell :)
Where: Outside Papa Kelsey's (I know the owners & they are kind enough to let us invade their sidewalk for a day. Plus, they have really yummy food!)
Ellsworth & Main- 9124 E. Main St. #4 Mesa, AZ 85207 -I know we're far away from most of you, but try & come anyway... it's for a good cause ;)

Help our family find a cure!

As most of you know, Anthon suffers from Type 1, or juvenile, diabetes. We've started a team for this years Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation "Walk to Cure Diabetes". Some of you may have already received emails from us, but we don't have everyone's addresses, so I'm doing a post. We each have set a personal goal to raise $200 for research in finding a cure. If you can spare anything at all, we'd really appreciate it (even if everyone donated $5 or $10, it would add up quickly)! Check out our pledge pages & donate to this great cause!! Click on:

Cutest Pumpkin in the Patch

I love fall, don't you?

9 Months

Mr. Roman is 9 months... ALREADY?! It seems like I just did his 8 month post- such is life I guess. This kid is a blast!! We have good times playing together everyday (I'm SO thankful I get to be home with him now- it's what I've always wanted to be when I grow up :D). Anyway, here are some new & exciting things going on in Roman's 9th month:

His stats today were pretty much the same as last time:
Height: 29 3/4 in.- 97%
Weight: 19 lbs 12oz- 50%
Head: 46 3/4 cm
He did good with the shots today- hardly cried & has been happy ever since, which I am very thankful for :)

He cruises along our furniture pretty much all the time now. When he crawls, he's REALLY fast!! I am amazed at how quickly he can get to Anthon once he realizes his daddy is home :)

This is one of his new favorite activities (along with emptying his bookcase)! It's funny to see what this tiny person can accomplish in a very short amount of time, but we're learning to keep doors shut when we're not in the rooms. Don't let the face fool you, this boy can be mischievous :)

Christmas came early & Roman got his 2 front teeth (for a total of 5)! He loves to eat, as long as he gets to feed himself- he blatantly refuses to let anyone spoon feed him!

We are enjoying our Roman Boy SO very much- He gives the best hugs (will wrap his little arms as far around your neck as he can, squeeze, & hold on for several seconds)... he really is a delight!! His time as a baby is going by all too quickly, but I really do love everything about him & am enjoying watching him grow!

Friends are fun!!

Yesterday, Jason let us take the boat to the lake with our friends, Justin & Corinne. The weather/water were perfect & it was SO much fun!!

Today, my friend Kati brought her baby Livvi over to play with Roman. It's so cute to watch them play together!!

Yeah, I'd say we're friends, too :)
