Pioneer Day

Our ward had our Pioneer Day celebration last night & it was a lot of fun. I spent the morning sewing us all costumes- Anthon was in the play & HAD to dress up, Roman is just plain fun to dress up, & I didn't want to the the odd man out :)

Anthon played Captain Smith, who was a total jerk to Mary Fielding Smith while trying to cross the plains. He did great playing mean & arrogant :)! (PS- I realized once his pants were done that they looked a little more like creepy pirate than pioneer, but it was the only fabric I had & he still wore them!)
Mine & Roman's costumes. My dress was made out of like upholstery material, so it was incredibly HOT. I guess I just got a little taste of the misery that was being a pioneer... SOOO grateful I wasn't born back then (I totally would've been one that got buried a long the trail)!

Random Roman

I was looking through pictures on my computer & ran accross some of Roman that I like, but never posted.
This one was taken last month in Las Vegas at the Coca Cola store.
Sweet, messy boy!
Little Stink!

He really likes climbing into things & laying down lately.

Lol- this one was taken today... doesn't he look so pathetic & sad, but cute at the same time?? I love it!

A Few Firsts

1st fat lip
He tried making out with a pool deck... well not really. He was playing on the pool deck, some how fell, & landed on his upper lip. I wasn't there when it happened, but Anthon said it bled pretty bad, & Roman cried a lot, but it doesn't seem to bother him now (it just looks awful)!
1st day of Nursery at church...YAY!!!

They said he did really good in nursery today. He ran right in & started playing & could of cared less when I left. THANK HEAVEN he's finally 18 months! I think Anthon & I are more excited about nursery than Roman :)

The rockets red glare, the bombs bursting in air...

We got to escape the heat this year for the 4th of July & went home for the weekend. We watched the fireworks in Heber & I had WAY too much fun playing with the setting on my camera to get shots of the show!
Peter, Kelly, & Taylor
I was pretty grouchy (for multiple reasons) the night of the 4th celebrations- ask my family... I was a beast! But I did have a fun time despite my hissy fit- thanks guys for putting up with me :)
Michele & her cute boys, Taylor & Christian.
Roman biffed it right before I snapped this shot- that's why Anthon looks the way he does :)

More fireworks
My family had to go home Sunday morning, so we got to spend the rest of our time there with Anthons family- which was great! Feels like we never get to spend much time with them so we really enjoy it when we get to (especially in Show Low with the beautiful weather there)! All in all, it was great weekend.
